Anointed Hands Medical

Drs. Kenneth and Lorrie O'Neal have been married for over twenty years and have been practicing together for more than twelve years. The couple also pastor a church, Anointed Hands Ministry, located next door to the practice. 

Dr. Kenneth O'Neal is a graduate of the Illinois College of Medicine in Chicago. As a native to inner projects in Chicago, Dr. O'Neal, against all odds, successfully graduated from Dunbar High School and attended University of Illinois at Champaign. After completing his internship and residency at Cook County Hospital of Chicago, he practiced as a Board Certified Internist at Rockford Health System for nine years. During high school and as an undergraduate, Dr. O'Neal worked as a certified nursing assistant in community nursing homes and assisted living facilities. 

These experiences proved to be instrumental in developing his aptitude for the geriatric patient population. As a result, he was able to build the largest geriatric and nursing home patient base in the Rockford Community. His compassion and attentiveness to care gained him great respect and notoriety among his peers, nurses, and hospital staff.

Recently Dr O’Neal has released his book, The Dark Walls of Medicine.  This book described his experiences in all the different areas of medicine, emphasizing the need for drastic changes in the system and offering a comprehensive plan to change the current system as well as finance the change.  He has also released his latest book, The Fleece Reality. Dr. O'Neal, along with his wife, is involved in faith-based and community programs. He has served as member of the Deacon Board, event’s organizer for men fellowship, taught adult men's Sunday school, new member's class, and Deacon's training classes.

​Included in his impressive resume is membership in the Kiwanis Service Club and mentorship of at-risk inner city youth.  Currently Dr O’Neal is Pastor at Anointed Hands Ministry, a non-denominational church.  
Dr. Lorrie Richardson-O'Neal is a general practitioner with an emphasis in obstetrics and pediatrics. She is a graduate of the University Of Illinois College Of Medicine (Chicago). In 2003, after a successful tenure with Rockford Memorial Health System, Dr.Richardson-O'Neal went into a private practice and grew to be one of the largest family practices in the area. "The human touch that every person deserves, was the philosophy of her practice. It is her desire that every person who enters her office experiences understanding and compassion. 

She was active in the Rockford Community where she served on the board of directors for Hands that Help, Inc. (a community development corporation), American Red Cross, and The Pregnancy Care Center. She was also the founder of Project Restoration, a non-profit transitional housing for women and a co-founder of the Winnebago County Chapter of the National Medical Association, a minority physician organization. She was also a member of the Winnebago County Medical Society and the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Rockford Alumni Chapter.

​Dr Richardson-O’Neal was very involved in ministry in Illinois.  She served as an Adult Women's Sunday school teacher, member of the Deacon's Wives Association, vice president of the Missionary Board, instructor for and leader of the Young People Willing Workers and Young Women's Christian Council. Currently she is an Pastor at Anointed Hands Ministry where she is involved in Community Outreach and Evangelism in the Northeast Georgia area.
